THE-SCRUP

An intersection between culture and marine, jetty and sea, combination of locals impressive icons as to bring back the connectivity to one another, to restore and rebuilt. Tide movement shows the fluidity and connectivity between each particles, as intend to pull back closer each and everyone through sea rescue and conservation activities. 

Partial of the space such as crafting area, log storage and cafes (warung) are located at the ground floor. Crafting area are located such top left with a reason to attract people from the one-way Jalan Sulaimani main road, also with the ease of relocating the boats. To give respect to the warungs originally on site, it is relocated side to side with the urban park beside Kemaman River. This could provide a opportunity for people to interact with each other.

GROUND FLOOR PLAN (NTS)

An open concept design, mostly equip with railings, plants, timber pose and high panels louvres instead of walls. Curvy roof design inspired from the movement and fluidity of water particles, being an iconic and stand out building around Chukai. 

Rear elevation, view towards Kemaman river, where urban park is located along the boundaries. On the first floor, can be clearly seen that library, having rows of glass panels wall, maximizing the view toward the park and the river, enhancing the relationship between them. An intermediate garden is located on the second floor next to the lounge. Both them having direct views toward the park, jetty, river and also the mangrove.

For the sake of the view from cars toward crafting area from the one-way Jalan Sulaimani. Folding doors are used at the crafting area also the log storage to widen and maximize the interior spacing, so that user can utilize the outdoor spaces too.
