INTER(FLEX): UNEVEN | GREENS | VIEW

-

as in flexibility, the major key of all elements. Interconnection in flexibility, from space to space, either in communal space or personally. The curvy levelling serve as the flexibility in uneven contouring, in & out, offering wider visually. Rehabilitate with greeneries in a flexible way, restoring the originality and provide a better environment with sustainability.

Focusing on the three major keywords, where they helped to solve the issues of this particular site. Basically, uneven represents the leveling with ‘in & out’, and greens obviously to be plants and trees. Both of them do provide a better shaded spaces, which allows users to stay and gather around with friends. Further in to the views, offering a wider visual for the users while they are in it. A leveled playful decked rooftop was designated, allowing users to relax and chill off.

By locating the blocks in an ‘in & out’ manners, it create spaces in between of them. These spaces are meant to be comfortable for users. Trees are injected into these spaces together with benches and pathway. The wire mesh cladding, allows creepers from each levels’ planters box to creep on, giving privacy and shades for the users at the balcony. A contrast is made on the façade and the spaces in the hostel itself, thus opportunity is created for the users to have a better views towards outside, while patrons couldn’t know what’s happening inside!
